Blogmas 2023 – Day 6
The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting colder and what better way to stay warm than with a cup of Russian Tea.
The Russian Tea Mix recipe is one I remember from my childhood days back in the 1970s.

Also, Yesterdish posted back in November 2013 on their website, the recipe and history of what we now know as Russian Tea. Lots of newspaper clippings are included from different years as well.

I made a new batch of this at Thanksgiving, it is perfect for this time of year!
I made some at Thanksgiving too. I sent half of it home with my youngest daughter and I used decaffinated tea this year so I can drink it at night. I almost need to make another batch.
My mother always had some Russian tea mix on hand–and it was used in our household for treating colds as well as being enjoyed during the holidays.
I’ve not heard of this … thank you for sharing Sherrill!
