Paula Simmons

I found an online audio phone interview with Namaste Farms and Paula Simmons that happened about seven years ago.  You can go here and starting at about the 25 minute mark, you can listen to the conversation.

I currently have three of her spinning books, and a fourth is ordered and on its way!

Timeless information for fiber enthusiasts and a valuable addition to your personal collection.

Something interesting Paula Simmons says: “Spinning is very personal.” I couldn’t agree more!

Grab some tea or coffee and your spinning wheel, then take a listen!

In the late seventies, early eighties, Paula’s books were like spinning bibles to us. She was our contact with like minded people. We didn’t have the vast sources then that we have today. I still enjoy her books but wow! I love the togetherness that we share today as a community.

Hi, I’m Sherrill, The 1764 Shepherdess.
I’m a maker based in the Pacific Northwest. With a love of wool, I have hosted spinning and fiber events and now find myself writing to encourage makers to slow down, work with intention, and reconnect with the history of crafting by hand. I look forward to having you join me on this journey!
