I enjoyed the video. I live in Montana. I knitted about 35 Fair Isle Tams in the 90’s. This last year, I knitted one after a long hiatus. I realized how much I need to practice. Fair Isle is a special style, with special wools. Off the Island there are knitters that follow the Fair Isle traditions as closely as they can. I understand why she uses a knitting machine, but I am disappointed, too. To me, the best of the Fair Isle tradition is in the hand knitted garments. The subtle shading of both back ground and design colors. The corrugated rib.
