A simple lace garter stitch shawl for you to knit for yourself or a friend. Think holiday gifts and get started now—you can have quite a few finished by Christmas!

Yarn:  approximately 100 grams, worsted weight handspun
Needles: US 10 – 11 (6.00 – 8.00 mm) 32 inch circular

Inspired by @bakewell_hearts and my upcoming trip to Great Britain next summer, I made this shawl for Melanie.

It began as just a shawl I wanted to design and send to her. It then evolved into a pattern to share with the #spin15aday group on Instagram.

I want to thank @absentherose and @mondaybread for taking on the project as test knitters and for their wonderful feedback. What a great way to connect with other people on a social media platform.

    What is the approximate finished size/dimensions?
    It’s very cute!

      Andrea, it’s approx. 8″ deep in the middle, 6″ deep on ends, and about 48″ long.

      I need to add that to the pattern.

    Thank you. Live it, trying to figure out how to make deeper and wider

    More lace repeats will take care of length.
    Hints on making it 16 inches deep?
