What a wonderful way to celebrate the Lunar (Chinese) New Year than in the Year of the Sheep!
I think I need to share a simple but hearty recipe I’ve called Spinner’s Stew. You just toss everything together and let it bake for 5-7 hours, giving you the freedom to do all things woolly. Enjoy!
Spinner’s Stew
1 pound stew meat 1 medium onion, chopped
4 large Yukon Gold potatoes, cubed
4 large carrots, sliced
2 Tblsp sugar
1 can tomato soup
½ can water
½ cup wine
Mix all together, cover and cook at 250 F for 5-7 hours.
Do not remove lid. (I don’t add salt, the soup has plenty of sodium)
Serve with rolls. Makes 2-4 servings.
