During the day, I am pounding the keyboard, running reports, and striving for the gold as the 10-key champion of our office.

At night, I switch capes and become Fiber Girl! Well, not exactly, but I thought it painted a good picture.

@krystlepye was looking for a good woolen video to watch, and I found a No Draw Woolen, Happy Shoulder video by spinningwool that I wanted to share with you.

It’s all about the twist in the fiber. 🙂 Enjoy!

Heh ‘happy shoulder style’ good description- the long draw is so much easier and relaxing. My husband observed me falling asleep while spinning. I don’t think I could do that with short draw.

Hi, I’m Sherrill, The 1764 Shepherdess.
I’m a maker based in the Pacific Northwest. With a love of wool, I have hosted spinning and fiber events and now find myself writing to encourage makers to slow down, work with intention, and reconnect with the history of crafting by hand. I look forward to having you join me on this journey!
